Book Store Next Door Open Sundays This Summer

The Book Store Next Door – Wilmington’s only used bookstore – is open 10am-4pm every Wednesday and Saturday. Conveniently located next to the Wilmington Memorial Library, the store is where Wilmington residents – and bargain hunters from near and far – come to shop for books at prices that just can’t be beat.

This Week At The Book Store: The Book Store Next Door is open on Sunday afternoons (1pm-4pm) this summer. The Wilmington Farmers Market will also be opening on Sunday afternoons (12:30pm-3:30pm) this summer. Shop for fresh produce at the market then pick up some fresh reads across the common at the book store! The store will return to the Farmers Market to sell cookbooks at the community booth on Sunday, September 4.

It’s all good at the Book Store Next Door! Customers always receive a GOOD deal as all books are priced at $2 or less. Customers always find a GOOD book as the store’s collection consists of more than 5,000 titles. Customers always support a GOOD cause as every penny raised is donated to the Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library.

The Book Store Next Door owes its success to the good people of Wilmington. The store relies entirely on community donations. Book donations in good condition (nothing damaged, worn or dirty!) are accepted during store hours. (Donations are tax deductible; ask a cashier for a receipt.) The store is staffed entirely with community volunteers. Residents interested in donating their time should pick-up an application at the store or library.
