Book Store Bulletin: November's Book Store Savings (Week of November 2nd)

Daylight savings – falling back – has impacted the hours of the Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door, although the savings are still exceptional. In case you still haven’t discovered this little used book store, it’s located at 183 Middlesex Ave., next door to the Wilmington library. November has arrived and, at present, Saturdays are the only day you’ll be able to shop, 10:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. This is my last little advertising piece – dear Readers. I am excited to turn my energies to new adventures – actually having some time to read will be one of them! The book store has been more successful than we ever dared imagine, thanks to all the community support, volunteers, shopping, donating, cheering, etc. This is Leslie Dietrich signing off, but you all keep spreading the word. So, Happy Trails and many thanks!

Book Store Bulletin: Bookstore Hours To Change (Week of October 26th)

This week and November are bringing some changes to the Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door. The Book Store will be closed Sundays, beginning Nov. 1, and this week, Oct. 28, was the last Wednesday evening hours. From November on, unless otherwise announced, the hours will be Saturdays, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Stop by at 183 Middlesex Ave., next door to the Wilmington library. Darker days translate into more reading time or more projects. Pick up the best value for your dollars and enjoy the used bookstore feel of the first floor of this historical house. If you are a sci-fi or fantasy buff, you can check out the last tamed frontier annex off the non-fiction room; also the home of hardcover Clancy and Cussler collections. All donations and purchases support the Wilmington Memorial Library.

Book Store Bulletin: Friendly October Book Store (Week of October 19th)

Did you know that the Friends of the Wilmington Memorial Library’s Book Store Next Door, 183 Middlesex Ave., is open nights this week from 5:00-7:00 p.m. to celebrate Friends of the Library Week? So, you still have October 21-23 to stop in after work and take advantage of special sales. Of course, we are still open every Saturday 10-4 and, for the remainder of the month we will be open Sundays 12-3:00. Mark your calendars: starting in November, the book store will be open Saturdays only, 10-4:00; no evening or Sunday hours, unless specially announced. Drop by to browse. The design of the little store has been enhanced by an annex off the non-fiction room: new home to Science Fiction and Fantasy – alphabetically arranged – and hard-cover & trade editions of Tom Clancy & Clive Cussler. There’s a radiator in that room, so we didn’t want to lose what little heat we have! Time for Fall sports: football, basketball, golf, skiing, skating, hockey; or experiment with new houseplants. Thanks for your continued support shopping and donating. We’re all volunteers and every sale benefits the Wilmington Memorial Library. To volunteer or request help with donations, please call Leslie Dietrich, 978.657.6536, or email her at lesd4@verizon.net.

You never know what you find and leave some time to shop after you drop! We'll try to keep you from buying back your donations! Please contact Leslie Dietrich, 978.657.6536 or lesd4@verizon.net for questions about pick-ups or volunteering. Your donations are tax deductible and all profits benefit the programs of the Wilmington Memorial Library. Thank you for your support.
